Clutch weight ?

Once I broke the shoulder off one when a belt broke. I bought one new one from Randy and it weighed 2 grams more the the ones I already had.

Sh*t, that's a good point! When we go off quoting all these heel/tip weight to everyone. Not only is every machine different, but even something as simple as the weight it's self can and will be quite different. ;)!

Tony - have you ever had one off by a whole gram? - I would feel more comfortable sanding them if it was only off by less than 1/2 a gram, but if anyone has had one off this far I'll go for it - I've tried 4 or 5 times to call them and I don't get an answer - didn't they use to be in Michigan? - I see their address is Minnesota now?!?! - a washer weighs a gram!!!
ONE GRAM ALOT. BUT I THINK YOU CAN STILL GET THIS CLOSE TOO THE PAIR EVEN WITH,IN 1/2 GRAM WITH OUT ANY ISSUES. AGAIN LIKE YOU GUYS SAID, THESE ARE EXPENSIVE WEIGHTS AND THEY SHOULD BE ON. THIS THE NUMBER YOU HAVE FOR SUPER TORQER. 1-320-632-4749 ? !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

OK. I JUST MEASURED A STOCK SET OF 40-10 YB I BOUGHT FROM A MEMBER HERE. THEY WERE USED A VERY SHORT TIME IN A 01 SRX THAT I THINK WAS TEE BONED.

Matt I hope you didn't feel this was directed at you? If it was I would have quoted your post if it was. Point was where do you stop?
IF YOUR AIMING THIS AT ME. I TOTALLY DISAGREE !! SORRY. I HAVE DONE THIS FOR YEARS WITH COMET WEIGHTS, YAMAHA WEIGHTS, AND HEEL CLICKERS. MATTER OF FACT, SUPER TORQER MIGHT SUGGEST THIS THEM SELVES. NOW, WITH THAT SAID. 1 FULL GRAM IS ALOT. BUT THIS CAN BE BROUGHT BACK IN. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Ya know, I didn't write the numbers down, but I want to say two were 51.4 and one was 50.4 - that is even a bigger difference from yours that are suppose to be the same weight!! - when we post set ups on here, were going to have to start posting the bare starting weight, then the set up weight!!! - otherwise we could be off by two to three grams!!! - explains why some of the guys struggle with set ups that work for the rest of us - doesn't 1 gram make about 200 rpm difference where ever you place it in the weight? - I know it is all about test, test, test and test some more, but you would never expect a set up to be off by 3 grams, which it could be by looking at these numbers - amazing!! - what is the bare 40-10 suppose to weigh?

No Tony, the comment definitely wasn't aimed at you. You and I were on the same page at about post #2. The comment wasn't directed at anyone. The point was about manufacturing variation and the relevance of precision past a specific point. I.E. - getting you weights to within +/- 0.1g of one another is probably worth the effort. Getting them accurate to +/- 0.001g on the other hand definitely isn't worth the effort and certainly wouldn't be something you could feel.

TWO ARE SPOT ON AND OTHER IS 1 GRAM LIGHTER . OK. WELL YOU SHURE DON,T WANT TO TAKE A BELT SANDER TO THAT. ME BAD BUD, I THOUGHT YOU HAD ONE HEAVIER THAN THE OTHER TWO. I KNOW THESE GUYS WILL CRINGE AT THIS, I SEEN GUYS OVER YEARS WHEN THIS HAPPENS ACTUALLY TAKE THE WEIGHT AND HAVE A FEW SPOTS BEAD WELDED ON BOTTOM. REAL BACK YARD RACING I GUESS, BUT IT WORKED. I AGREE WITH THAT POST YOU MENTION YOU WONDER HOW OFTEN THIS GOES ON. ESPECIALLY MORE TIMES THAN NOT, THESE GUYS TURN TO MANY RPM,S. AND YOU KNOW THEY DON,T HAVE A GRAM SCALE. ANYWAYS YOUR BEST BET PROBLEY GET AHOLD OF THEM. 3:16 (yammie tony)
