Any of you guys headed to the show this weekend? I will be there, big Yamaha turn out this year!!
Heres the story to the best of my knowledge. Yamaha raced the SRX in the '70s on ice ovals and they pretty much dominated racing at that time. At one point in time the SRXs were pretty much outlawed because they were seen as being too fast and too dangerous. A few people got killed while racing their SRXs and at the point the governing body stepped in.arcticsrx500 said:i dont now how wayne trapp is, can someone tell me, is he a legend? I think about oval race or something like that.
To explain: im from norway, and many of those machines is never released her in this country, and therefore nearly no one now anything about those here.
Im very courious about history around srx and gpx in the states, and else worldwide.
Indeed it was. Im only 28 years old, so that was a bit before my time, but from everything Ive read about and have been told about the '70s, it was the golden age of snowmobiling.arcticsrx500 said:Thanks for those web sites, they helped me a lot to get answer at my question.
