hey guys

i took the casing for my coolant/water pump off and took the rubber gasket out and i tried to put the new one in and it seems like its too big. i need to sprink it a little bit because its a little too big because it keep poping out of the grooves! a guy on here told me to put it in the freezer for 1 - 2 hrs and then try but its the same. im not sure what to do. anyone know what i should do? also i tried to put my old one back it but tahts too big now also! lol i never stretched them. they must of been sprinked some how but im not sure how. any help would be great!!!

Mine stretched as I wiped it clean...dealer told me I need a new one...I replaced mine...

Something like that-water pump seal...I would not mess with it, not worth the leak after its all bolted in the sled & after your first ride she starts to leak...hum I hear some guys cut it at the top & them rtv with black silicone...never did hear how it turned out for them :dunno:

lol i done just what u said! i dont it on my own and didnt know how it would turn out! i cut the gaskey at the top! and i got some gasket marker liquid stuff in a tube and put that all around the seal. hopefully it turns out good! ill hopefully get my motor back in my viper today. if not today tomorrow, should know how it turns out once i fire it up and bleed the coolant system!

thanks
