My 85 Virago XV700 front left turn signal is acting funky. The blinker filament is not working at all. The running light filament stays on until the turn signal is activated. Then the running light filament blinks. The right side front turn signal works as it should: the running light filament stays on and when the turn signal is activated the blinker filament blinks while the running light stays lit. It's not the bulb, I swapped them around with the same result. I'm thinking it's a bad ground. Where do I start? The wiring diagram is not a great help, I can't tell where the ground goes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 85 xv 1000 and when that happens to mine its the blinker relay, usually a couple taps and it works fine for the rest of the summer.
