You'd be surprised what modern technology can do... yes, there were cars that got 50mpg in the 1960's and 1970's and the "big business" shut them up.. A lot of stories are true.. look at the WANKEL engine... UNLIMITED RPM..... A lot of theories are used today and have been used since the 1940's LOOK AT ENERGY RELEASE... The federal government has been using it since WWII!!! You'd have to understand the whole "economics" of 50mpg vehicles... Yes,, it's feasable,,but improbable..... It will cost too many people too many jobs.. And when AMERICA is fighting to hold onto the jobs that they currently have,,,, NAFTA sounds like a WORSE and WORSE idea every year it continues...
