Anyone have replaced there pro action skid with a better one? My 03 Viper is ready for upgrade. I would like to utilize a Yamaha skid and try to keep it fairley simple. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.
check out the tech pages shows how to install mono shock install ,m10 install, and expertx install, depends on your riding style which you want all ride better but i belive you lose a little top end with all but the mono shock setup ...someone else will chime in on this one i am sure .........
The polaris edge is a great alternative, i happen to have one for sale if your interested. Had it in my RX1 but went with a Zx2 when they came out and decided to keep that. A viper with a edge would be a sweet sled. Loses 5 lbs over the pro action to!

do a search there are many guys that put doo, polaris, and cat skids in there yamaha's.
Even some guys put doo skids in there 4 strokes and said they road better then the mono shock.

Try any local sled scap yards in your area to get a idea of priceing without shipping and what would be advalable in the later year models of your choice.I put a 02 sc10 in my srx dont mind giveing any advise on the install. It has to be 10 to 15 pounds lighter than the old one.
Too bad your in canada because i have a skidoo sc3 out of a 2005 rev wiith under a 1000 miles.
Edge
I am an Expert X man myself but I would have to agree that an Edge would be nice in place of a no-action. If I ever did another no-action chasis I'd try the edge. Can usually be found cheap at any salvage yard. There were several new ones on the Tracks USA website last I looked......not sure if the pricing is fair or not.

Heres the number for a guy in Manitoba. He is a big yammi guy and has all sorts of parts. He does retro fits on his sleds and for others. He may be able to help you out. I deal with him and he is really good...
