Hey guys, I did a quick search on here for any instructions on what to look for and how to rebuild a primary clutch.
My primary works fine (as far as i know) but theres 10 000 km on it so i'd just like some advice as to what to look for? what likes to wear out on them? bushings etc.
Thanks in advance

everything will wear out after 10,000 miles.Changed my bushings thruout after last season..Also changed guides, washers and weight bushings.I spent $600 for complete rebuild on 3 primary and 2 secondary clutches. That is on parts,I did the labour. It is worth it,the clutches are the heart of everything, they don't work properly, your sled won't perform. My clutch was the problem all last winter on the SRX.It kept hanging up on me.Only wauy I figured it out was to take the clutch of the 600,switch weights and springs for the SRX and that sled came to life again.Since I had the bushings replaced by the dealer a few season's back, the 600 clutch was more up to spec.Only found out with only about 1 week of sleding left and with terrible conditions that I couldn't even take the SRX out for a real 1/2 to 1 mile run on the river.Should work good now.
well atleast blue try many clutch different combination
Get a hold of fellow T.Yer http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/member.php?u=4018 he will talk you through a basic rebuild, look up some of his old posts, he has some pics of a clutch breakdown...cheersSkidooslayer687 said:Hey guys, I did a quick search on here for any instructions on what to look for and how to rebuild a primary clutch.
