need some help with my 02 viperER. I fired it up for the first time since i put it together. the egein light is on and keeps flashing eny ideas what the problem might be thanks.

keep an eye on how many times it flashes... theres a code for each sequence.... may be because its hotter the Hell out side...

check your wiring harnes for a rub thru under the engine. there are quite a few posts on this - maybe do a search in wiring? Does it seem to run ok?

i mooved the wirening harnes on top of the motor there are no wires under the motor any more and its not to hot out i will count the times it flashes

I had the same issue a few years ago on a MTN SRX I converted over to an 02. It ended up being the wires and connection for the hand and thumb warmers
I wish I was home cause I could have scanned and emailed the digital trouble code log that tells you where to look with the length of flashes it gives you.
Assuming the 02 SRX and the Viper have the give the same Diagnostics which I dont see how they could be different.

it flashes 7 to 8 times does any one know what the code is. thanks again for all the help.
Look in the Tech pages, the codes are posted there. You will need to watch the timing as well as the number of flashes.
had a similar issue on an 03, ended up as simple as fuel level. had drained most of the gas out for storage, preseason starting flashed a code not listed. went away with a little more fuel.

it was the power valves hade a short in the wires i got the manuell from work and checked it thanks for all the help guys.
