i run a 2000 700mm with 156 echolm suspention triple psi pipes and stingers. i was looking at putting dail a jet on. i was wondering what your thought on them are thanks.
 
The only Yami I have seen melt down had a aftermarket jetting device on it. IMO I would just rather rejet and avaoid any expensive failures. I am sure there are quite a few people out there who use these things with no problems but I just cannot get myself to trust them. For what it's worth.
 
I have used a multi-range variflow on my stock and bigbored SRX for over 8 years. From 1500 feet to 10,500 with no getting. Every single tripple yami around here uses it.

I've seen a completely stock Viper melt down. In fact it was just last winter.
 
I use a Holtzman ATACC on my yami and had great success. We sled out west with huge elavation changes. Before using the Atacc I could get the sled dialed for a certain altitude, but after a few thousand foot climb it was out to lunch again.
I installed the atacc and presto no more jetting. It compensates for altitude, and temp changes. I would never go without it again.
People that say they have seen burn ups, most likely don't have them installed correctly. I would say you have a far higher chance of a melt down trying to jet the sled and getting out of altitude range. Not to mention every time you go sledding the temperature is different.
Get the compensator

THe AtaCC that was the one my friend was using when he had to rent for the next 3 days. I guess it is a personal choice whatever you are willing to deal with. Either way just make sure you be careful with the installation or jetting. More important have fun when you are out there.
 
X2 on the ATACC.
I have used mine for 2 years on an 01 MM 700.
I would not run tripple pipes on this sled with out one.
I found the tripple pipes made it extremely sensitive to altitude and temp variations. The ATACC makes it run strong all winter and spring.
 
I have the multi range variflow. Works great and you have the control. It is not automatic. I had the dial-a-jets on a twin and ended up taking them off. I couldn't get them to work properly. Maybe it was just me.
 
I bought a piped 97 sx 700 that was modded up by the prior owner.He told me it has 38 mm carbs but they look like yamaha carbs to me.They do look like they have been bored out,is it possible to bore 33's to 38's? These carbs also have the holtzman vari flow installed.
 
l looked into dial a jet recently, im fairly sure they said you could NOT use a triple set on a twin, so on and so forth. There kits are model specfic
 
Sure you could. You just need one of the units per carb. Or make it a dually system and use two on each carb.

I ran single set up on my old phazer for a couple years before I swapped the carbs on it. Worked fine.
