I have a '98 Srx 700. Was wondering if anybody know if there is an "All Black" seat out there that will fit my sled. Lookin to loose the Yamaha blue on the side of the seat and have it all black.

Viper seat possible?? And who has one??

Thanks

i asked the same thing a while back and was told to buy some vinyl paint.i havnt yet but will let you know how it goes.

I was thinking about painting the seat on my SRX but not sur eif the paint will hold up to moving and being scuffed by pants/boots

I also have a ski doo 670. The seat on it used to have a real offensive backround design behind the ski doo logo. I was able to use automotive paint thinner to remove it. I masked off the ski doo logo with tape and removed only the neon colours. This may not work the same on the yamaha seat. try a small test area perhaps?

My roomate blacked out his viper seat with black vinyl paint 2 years ago, it has held up great the only thing i notice is the little piping that seperates the black and blue has rubbed off. from his snow pants. Its a very quick touch up after 2 years of riding really hard

I've used lacquer thinner (yes, lacquer thinner) to remove the silk screened Yamaha (and Polaris on previous sleds) letters from the side of the seat and from the handle bar pad. Using a well soaked rag and lightly rubbing until all traces of the lettering is gone. Followed up with vinyl conditioner.

The ski-doo is a 98 MXZ 670. It had a multi color neon splash stripe behind the logo. As I mentioned before, I simply masked off the ski doo logo and removed the unwanted portions with paint thinner. The areas inside the "d" and the "o"'s and the "g" were simply coloured in black with a sharpie marker rather then masking off the insides.
