Low Compression???

i just checked the compression of my srx and its reading 120 all across but my bros 700 edge was showin 105 then he cleaned his exhaust valves and it came rite up to 132...would that be the reason y mine is low...mine still will beat alot of higher cc machines and my fuel milelage is still awesome...theres about 3000 miles on it and its not missin a beat....
 
it could be the gauge, did you check it with the same one, 120 for a stock SRX is not low, if you have the head cut it could be low and even better they are exactly the same. Are you holding your throttle wide open as you check compression, that will change the reading too.
 
yep we checked it with the same gauge....and the throttle is wide open...i remember checkin it in january of last yr and it was the same as today...and i put prob. about 1000 miles on it since then
