bought a new mini z in 99. second year of production, spring pre-order. the stupidest things went wrong, key breaks off(poor location), rotary kill switch needed taped off as the little hands kept turning it to off. choke cable broke, 4th ride, starter rope broke 6th ride. all this with a 5 year old and dad getting it going for him, all in the same season. no warranty on anything. next season, cheap *** drive chain broke, drive axle bearing went out, misc nuts, bolts, and screws fell out.and i seriously maintain my stuff! all this and no dealer support(note that this is a 5 yr old rider) i sure wish yamaha made one! went through 2 more kids after that and basically threw good money after bad to keep the damn thing running. this sled had about a 1/3 gallon tank, so your filling it up about every 15 min. no way it would go on a trail ride. these minis are designed for flat ground, packed snow only. not trying to burst your bubble, just my experience. the kids loved it!
