I've got the Vforce3 reeds and the inside of the carb to reed cage boot,(orange in color) is all bubbled up. You can't wipe it off, and it doesn't appear to be flaking. Anyone seen this before, and should I be concerned about this before I bolt this thing back together?

that orange coating you're talking about is on the stock rubber intake boots....right? my boots did that on my viper. the orange coating starts peeling off. just take some non chlorinated brake cleaner, spray it on them or on a rag, and keep wiping till its all gone. it comes right off. the orange coating doesn't need to be on there.
