changing impeller on a 1993 vxr 650

i have the pump in my hands, the impeller ends like a nut so i know i can put a tool there, on the other side of the saft, its threaded, am i supposed to put a bolt there and tighten it and then unscrew the impeller? i have no idea how to remove the impeller from there, thanks!

i got the ones done on our 1992 wave runners. i got paranoid myself and had the dealer swap the impellers. did it for $15.00 each so it was worth it for me.

Its left handed thread so make sure yu turn the impellar clockwise to remove

There is usually a tool that looks like a nut with splines that fit into the impeller. If in doubt take it to the dealer and have them take it off. like Marinetech said it is left thread and probably will need some heat applied to help loosen it.
