Anybody know if there are any available for Yammy's?

The only white sliders I've ever seen were for Polaris.

If not, has anyone ever used any kind of Krylon or similar to paint em? does it hold up?

I would like to know also.

- My sled looks very similar to yours chili, except my white skis are still in the mail. The white & blue look is probably the sweetest color combo out there imo. My question for you is where did you find the white skid plate? I've been looking around alittle and all I can come with is a off-white one. I've ever had rich lookin for me and he couldnt come up with anyhting either. whered you find that one?

found it on ebay by chance, leftover from a place that went out of business

This will hurt you, but I got it for 20 bucks!! I get asked all the time, and Im sort of glad it hard to find, people know its me from a ways away

That pic is one season old, I now have white windshield as well, and blue handgrips (added a 2nd reostat, and now have one of the only 99s with seperate hand/thumb)

what skis did you go with C&A's also? Mine are RAZORS and I absolutely LOVE em, nice to know I can carve the heavy girl at high speeds, and NO DARTING, the keel is like 1.5 inches deep

Yep, I went with the C&A razors as well, good to hear you like em. I cant wait to get them on and see how they ride. I have a white windy as well but I ordered the big blue windshield sticker from TY, I think it will look pretty sweet once its on there. Ive been thinkin that white hand gaurds and a white skid plate would just complete the look and when I saw ur avitar I knew for sure. Luckey b@$t@rd - I wish I could find one for 20 bucks, hell I wish I could find one at all. Sled looks sweet man.

Heres a pic of my 01 so far. Still waitin for the skis and the sticker. Hopfully the riser and hand guards will be added soon!

I searched alot and again, only seem to be for polaris POS's

Going to experiment with some old worn ones, and see if Krylon Fusion works. No real other option I can see, powder coat would melt em, normal paint no sticky....

Let me know how it works, I just got a set of blue ones for my sled and still need to put them on. Depending on how ur expariment works out maybe I'll consider painting mine before I put them on. I would think the paint would get kinda brittle always being down in the snow tho, I cant imagine that they would stay white for very long. Then again I did paint my windy and it holds up just fine....but its not down in the snow all the time. Good luck with the test.

Fusion will still chip regardless what you do. Prep your surface all you want but in the end it will end up getting chipped. Been there done that on Yami ski loops.

well, like I say, Ill try on old ones, and if I dont like the results, Ill throw on my new blue ones...

A new power coat shop just opened, so I know how Im cleaning up my warms and stuff now, so I figred the white would look great against blue and black running gear

here is some pics of the powdercoat i did at home for my srx. looks good and keeps the rust down.

well, this is all just theory....and the title of the thread was asking if there were white ones out there.

Anyways...

Amato, that looks frikkin awesome, and I will be powdercoating for sure.

So, all you needed to do was clean them up? did you prime our seal them first? or did the shop do the clean-up?

i did all of the parts clean up with wire wheel and a small sand blaster. then powdercoated them my self. i also polished the rails and then powdercoated them clear.

How did you fit them in your oven?? Especially the long rails?

If white ones were available youd know it by now, this being the place to find info like that.

Second your wasting your time and $$ painting your hyfax's/"sliders", I dont know what makes you think that the paint will hold up but have at it.

I swear some sledder's are worse than females when it comes to color coordinating.
