Think i'm gonna show up at an event with my sled .Was wondering based on some of your experiences how much can i get away with without a cool down cart? Likely only going to run 1 class and based on what i have saw in results from this circut ,likely won't be alot heat races .I may bump up a class too i'm not sure....I know back in the day i could get away with quite a bit with my Ex570 without a problem (bag of ice on the motor between heats) al input welcome ..And thanks to the guys on here for all your insight on a proven setup (i simply don't have the time with 3 little ones to spend like i used to, trying everything !)

LEAF BLOWER FOR COOLING YOUR PRIMARY CLUTCH, I HAVE USED THE OLD BAG OF ICE ON THE MOTOR TRICK FOR YEARS, YOU SHOULD BE OK BUT DON,T RUN ALOT OF CLASSES. CAN,T BEAT COOL DOWN THOUGH. MOTOR MUST BE COOL FOR TOP HP ON SRX. THEY LOSE PONIES QUICK WHEN THEY GET HOT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

thanks for he info...too bad you sold that 93 sx....wish i had mine back.....they were a very fun sled in the twisties(lowered)

when i ran my srx with out a cool down i used ice on the running boards, solid chunks of ice (without bag) on the motor pipes it self.and a leaf blower on the clutchs with the belt off,(that way it will cool a little better and give you time to sand the clutchs and belt) you can also take out the plugs.that will help a little.and if you have a canopy.store the sled in the shade at all times if possible.

Why not just build a cool down. Not really that much money. Hoses, pump, cooler, battery, and some ice. Or do as I did make it with a radiator and fan. No chasing ice that way.

It's just a matter of time, and the fact i'm only going to run 1 event for fun...lots of good alternetive ideas here ...Thanks guys!

Go with what danger said. get a pump, battery, hose, cpc connectors, radiator and fan. With not much money invested it is the best way to go. If you every get out of racing there are always people looking for one. pm me if you need any questions or sources for parts.

thats deffintly the way to go. but i didnt think that was really an option to him.a good place to get quick connects is from donny kompas at amsnow.i dont have his number with me but lookup modmachz at amsnow and you can find him.
