Bob can you check on something with the Bender triples on a 835 BB Viper? I was told these pipes have an internal stinger and confirmed this to be true. My question is was this stinger added to make the pipes build more heat with the 700?? I'm told they choke off the BB engines at peak rpm... Can your contacts confirm this??
The Benders had better low end grunt but the CPR pipes had longer legs. Probably cus they make peak hp at 9000ish rpm. I had both sets on the same sled & can verify the differnce. both sleds were clutched to run at peak rpm,s. The Benders needed a lot more primary weight to reach peak hp vs the Simons pipes.

MIKE, THATS WHERE I AM AT THINKING WISE WITH THIS 99 SX. THERE IS NO DOUBT MORE WEIGHT IN PRIMARY IS THE TICKET. HELL I REALIZED THAT BY OUR TIME SLIPS THIS SUMMER TAR RACING. buffalo bob thanks for that info hope you can get that chart up soon i will be pullin out my weights tonight to to see what i have in the tip cant remember if i put 2.3 or 3.1 rivets in the 89L,s now i see how important it is to keep notes and not rely on memory but i know i need more weight in them

8000rpm-85.5torque-130.2h.p.- 110.5 water temp
8200 - 86.4 - 134.9
8400 - 85.7 - 137.1 - 102.5
8500 - 84.4 - 136.6
8600 - 82.0 - 134.3
8700 - 77.2 - 127.0
this was a 12 second pull. the cover sheet says 140 mains - all. don't know the air temp for the day but 12 seconds is over a 1/4 mi. don't know if it was pump gas or a mix.

thanks buffalo bob very cool pulled weights tonight and scaled them looks like i am running 3.1 rivets thats what i come up with as the combo came in at 46.1 grams so i will be ordering 4.5 rivets from bruce at pioneer tomorow how do you remove rivets ? the manual says to drill em anyone have a better way ?
grind the head off the rivet & punch em thru. Just throwing that out there if anyone still believes anything I post!!

don't sweat it dude,i trust your word so much i'm gonna show up at a drag race without testing first LOL ,seriously i doubt i'll have time to but i 'm very confident i'm gonna be very close with your set up.......on the debate, i firmly believe there are variables that can contradict dyno findings once you get to the field ! the timer doesn't lie! Thanks dude!
