I wouldn't pay that for one. But it's your money and your emotions. If you think it's the sled you want at the price your willing to pay then go for it.

As for things to look for. The 97 600 twin had a habit of eating the piston rings. They updated the 98 piston and took care of that problem. See if the owner knows if this has been done or not. Otherwise the twin isn't a bad motor, just not as nice as the tripple.

Mine is the pic in my avatar. Almost 9,00 miles on it and it still runs good. Had pistons and jugs repkaced at 2200 miles. YUP, ate the oil ring retaining pin. They had updates on ski spindles, foot rest rivets (the ones that the trailing arm mounts to), and that's about it. Love the ease of electric start and reverse. Plus they have rebuildable shocks, needle bearings in the shock pivots. If it's clean, talk him down a bit. With a little clutching and rejet, thinner head gasket, it'll run great!! I put a 1" Camoplast track and GYTR all purpose skiis on mine, and it rails in the corners.

Thanks For The Replys. Its Very Clean And Own By A Lady That I Know . I Will Do A Little Checking On Things . I Have A 98 5ooxtc And It Runs Great At 5300 Miles. I'm Not Sure But I Think 1997 Was The First Year For These Sleds, Thats Why I'm Checking On Things. Would Kind Of Suck If I Had To Do Rings At 2000 Miles!

Thanks Again.
