the graphites are way cheaper, maybe 30 bucks give er take.... they are just normal slides but were impregnated with graphite aka "slippery slides" longer slide life.... The hiperfax are about 165 bucks for a pair, They have graphite AND teflon in them, they have a graphite impregnated slide and then a teflon insert, people claim they get 4-6000 miles out of a pair, for the price you better. I'm getting a set this season.

Starting line products i know carries the hiperfax (color in black for the 121"due to lack of popularity with other colors) they can special order a specific color for you. Shadetree powersports has the Graphite slides. those ones only come in black.

I bet it doesn't take much to damage those things... hit a rock and its Fu**ed
Get you some 5.38 wheels from rich motor sports. They will replace the 4 stock 5.125 wheels that are on it. Looks like your track tension might have been too tight. It is ideal to have 1 inch of sag in the middle on a trail sled. Yamaha specs are just way too tight on the track. I would even replace the two 5.125 wheels that are located directly in front of the rear axle wheels with 5.38 wheels.
If you do this, you well never have this problem again and your sled will also be faster!!!!!
This will be my 4th trip to the U.P. this January on the same HYFAX!!!!
I usually put on 500-800 miles on my SRX

Do yourself a favour and purchase an extra wheel kit for the bend in the rails. It'll reduce your slider wear as well.

I'm planning on giving this a try for my SRX.

get the graphite slides, I put over 5000 km on a single pair, changed them out last winter just figured it'd be a good idea since i was going through the skid anyways. paid around $50 from royal distributing for them, work really well IMO
