Ok guys, what do you guys think?

Looks great?

Just okay?

Lets hear it. I can take it.


I may do a rev.2 of the side aluminum risers so its all one piece and tapered in the back so less boxy looking but thought I would ask for some constructive criticism first. : )

It does have that "Added" look to me. I can't think of what you could do to make it look more factory though. Like you said it's somewhat "Boxy" looking. Functionality should be nice tho!!!

Thanks for the feedback. Nothing surprising so far. Got some more work to do.


I will try and incorporate some aluminum side peices in the back of the risers to give it a wedge look from the side like a new nytro or phazer.

Will post some more pics once these are added.
 
So how long's your mullet? :rofl:

Just kidding! I'm not so sure I like it, but then again, about 70% of my height is in my legs so I understand the concept. Do whatever works for YOU. ;)!

Guys, I ask for some constructive feedback and all I get is wise *** remarks. I attached a pic of myself to address those mullet remarks so lets put that to rest and get back on topic.

How about doing something like this? Trim the back to a taper and put a black stripe on it. Won't look so tall.

Thanks for throwing up that photo shopped pic as that does look better.

Can you do another pic but with the taper reversed with it going up to the back plate? I would push the plate back further so as to keep a relatively shallow taper: )

I like it! Did you try it without the riser under the seat? I was thinking about just adding foam to the seat like you did. Was the seat alone not enough rise for you? could you take a pic of the sled with someone seating on it? Like to see how the seating position looks.
 
the whole concept of raising your seat is a good idea, are you really tall with long legs because that lift is quite a bit, maybe redo your metal work to taper back with about a 2" rise not 4" straight, when painted black it may not be as noticable , your seat lift padding alone could of been enough, and did you get a chance to try this yet last year......CP

I originally was going to raise the seat with either the aluminum risers or more foam for a 2-3" rise but that didnt seem to be enough especially when I compared measurements to my buddy's apex. The handlebar to seat to running board measurements are now the same as the Apex.

I also wanted to avoid using a wedge to raise the seat as it seams to only raise the seat from the back. I like to ride close to the tank so it was important I raised it nearly 5" at the tank. The whole seat is moved forward 6" which required cutting of the plastic on the bottom of the seat.

LOOK 1 OR LOOK 2? and going back to stock is not an option. : )

Definately look 2

I think look 2 definately is better. What I really think you should do is save the time and hastle and just buy a Boss highrise. You'll never go back. It's a little pricy up front but you will always be able to sell it for $300 or so.
