boss seat
Regarding the boss seats, I was concerned I would get the look like the Boss seat look below. In hindsight, if I could have gotten a seat right up to the tank with 5" + rise, I would have gone with the Boss approach.
Cost into seat mod so far.
$90 for aluminum
$30 for upholster

5" seems like a lot for the seat, I made a 2.5" riser in the back tapered to 1.25" up front and for me at 6'2" was perfect. I think 5" will raise your center of gravity to high and make this sled very hard to handle in any kind of twisty. I also think moving the seat 6" forward is to much, how will you be able to steer? There are plans on this forum that look much cleaner and less like they were made in the garage with scrap. Just my opinion.

scrap metal
Scrap metal???????? Tough crowd but I asked for an honest opinion didnt I : ) I definitelly hear wear you're coming and my buddies I ride with will be no less merciful during our trailside chats this winter as I'm already hearing it already.
Its too pretty to look at now but I consider it a project in the works still. Hopefully, it will look half decent in the end.
I will definitely let you guys know how it rides. Ive been riding this low rider for 4 years, it was time for a change and considering the new seat-handlebar dimensions are the same as the apex, it feels perfect sitting on it.
Hopefully it won't be too tippy even after pulling up the limiters and softening the front shock but this defintiely could be a problem.
Will let you guys know!!!

Keep in mind that the Apex engine sits much further back and lower then the Viper. That will make a huge difference.

Think I found an improved look at least from my perspective
: ) by removing and raising the rear plastic bumper cover. The metal grab bar itself is also held on with only two bolts per side which I will likely remove and try remounting to my aluminum risers.......
