I was just wondering because i might be buying a 2002 srx for $2300 and i think that was the fastest sled they made in that year..rightt? I am not sure...

haha ightt well this guy retired from mailman this sled iss fastt no one in ower town can beat it.. its mint!!! i work at the shop adriondackmahcines and he came by and siad i got as new job for snowplowing so i am trying to sell my sled.. he siad he didnt know what they are worth!! lol so i siad 2300 and he siad he will take it. but i am trying to sell my sxr 700 which is fast but not as fast as this sled... my sxr has mostly huack stuff such as the pipes and the clutch and transver rods ex.. butt i am going to get it before anyone else i hope :P

Some people say the 2002 are the fastest but u guys are saying 2001 is it by a big diffence and i know they are all fast lol...

no its not a huge difference, 2000-2002 top out around 113-115 on mint trail conditions, the 2000's had about 5 more hp than the 98-99, but those were still fast, and 5 hp is not that much more noticeable. Srx's are fast 0-90mph and then start climbing slowly up to top speed, you need a little bit more room once you get past 100, not to make it sound like a slug after 100, not like you will be doing that on many trails.... 60-70 mph is a very comfortable speed on the srx on trails.

yeahh i understand that in 2000 they changed the light and shit... so they must of change alittle modification to the engine..

Well my 98 Mountain SRX will only do 140kls top end. But its all nicely geared and clutched for the mountains, so it doesn't so much accelerate as it does LUNGE! With the limiter let out to, it's hard to turn around because it bunny hops! Sure is funny puttin a greenhorn on it and watching the look on their face after they get back from a little romp. The kids love it, they call it 'snarky'! G.

Yes, I LOVE this sled! Gonna put a Monoshock RA in it though! I've already ungraded the skis. G.

I wouldn't haha so much. You have to ask the owner how he prep the sled for the summer months. If he did not fog the engine than chances are there may be some rust on the bearings. The engine could blow on you. These engine are high HP and run on tight tolerances.
Buying a sled with low miles as opposed to one that has been ridding and maintained is like night and day.

thats an AWESOME deal!!! Get it right now!!! I payed 2800 bux for my 2001 Phazer Mountain lite in MINT condition, got 9900km's to her to, but yet not a scratch on her hardly. if the sleds been well looked after and is mint go for it. 3000 miles is NOTHING on a sled anyways, its like what 5000 kms (im in canada), so in 6 yrs, it equals out to be less than a 1000 kms per yer, or 600 miles, i put 4000 kms on my Bravo this past winter, some people i know put like 5000 kms on there sled in 1 month, so yours hadn't been ridden much ,
