I know that this has been talked about many times. I have done the searches but can't come to the right answer. I have a viper skid that I want to put in my 2001 srx. I also would like to lift and widen the front end to match. I can't seem to find the correct way of doing this. It looks like I can use sxr control arms and rods. But the shocks are all different. If I use viper or sxr shocks with an eyelet conversion they seem to be too long, for that they mount different on the bulkhead. What is the best way of doing this correctly so that I can increase the travel so I can push my srx through the bumps harder. I am an agressive rider and am having trouble keeping up with the longer traveled sleds. Thank you .

BetheViper has everything you need. Wide kit... Viper shocks, and different mounts. The only bad thing is that you need to cut into the top of the bellypan for the shock mounts. I did all this to my SRX and the ride and handling are impressive. I would go with straight rate springs on the shocks. I ran the stock springs last year and had to crank them up quite a bit to get the ride height I wanted. This year I have the straight rates and it sits perfectly with zero pre-load.
Edit - I just noticed your location. What city are you from?

SXR shocks will mount up the same way. It is the part of the pan where the scock comes up thru to bolt to the new mounts. Nothing to it.
i mounted my viper shocks in the in the stock srx location but havent rode it yet. ive been workin on the long track and havent addressed the front end yet. i never thought about mounting them in the sxr location i know the front end is out of whack but im hoping to pick up some new radius arms at a swap meet and going from there. i live pretty close to deerfield, let me know if you need a hand
