Just bought a set of Delta V force 3 reeds. When I go to put them in they seem really tight. They will work, but just not sure if thats right. The guy at Hauck says the part # I have will fit all yamaha Tripples, but I thought their was a diff between the srx and the sx reeds? Whats hitting is the stopper on the reed cage and being that its made of plastic, it bends a little then everything meets up. That is when I use the supplied spacers and putting them on the inside of the reed block (between reed block and engine case) If I didnt use the spacers or If I put on the outside of the reed block, they would deff not work. Any info would be great, need to know if I need to send these back.

Thanks,
Nick

an srx reed cage will nto fit properly in an SX unless you take a little material of intake.
This is a good upgrade.....is there a problem with your stock reeds or cages.

No problem with my stock ones. I just wanted to upgrade to Delta V force reeds. I received them and they seem to fit real tight and was told that these will fit any yamaha tripple, which I dont understand because the srx and sx are different like you said. I just wanted to see if anyone else who has the v force 3 reeds had some input on how they fit.

Thanks,
Nick

Well according to the v force website, all the tripples use the same part# srx, viper and the 600 and 700 v max tripples. So I guess these are the correct ones.

I have a set, that I never installed, heres a pic of them. I noticed they have a spacer on the motorside, maybe yours is missing. Notice the spacer in the pic. from top: gasket, spacer, gasket, main body.

I've been running a set of V-3's for a couple of years now in my 700SX. I don't remember any clearance issues when I installed them. I think my part # is V3141-683A-3.
