can anyone tell me how to clutch a 2000 sxr? is hard how long will it take and anyone with detailed instructions? anyone with reeds for my sled as well or know where i can get them

If you really dont know what your doing on sleds you should find someone local that can help you out and give you some pointers. It`s much easier to learn with hands on training and that way you wont mess anything up on your new sled before you even get to ride it. Clutch work isnt to hard once you understand what needs to be done and how to do it. But if you dont know what your doing you can mess things up pretty easily.

Get the AAEN clutch book Read it thoroughly! My first time was simple, The clutches on these sleds are really easy to do. Get a clutch puller and compressor, And have some fun messing with it. Just put it back together the way you took it apart (Or similar, But using different parts)

What do you want done?

Hell I got my Primary spring, Secondary springs, Weights, Helix and Rivets for under $140. It then took me a few hours of time to go through them, clean them till they sparkled and put them back on the sled.

The parts you needed that i specifically told you to buy would be about $50 for helix & primary weight rivets. A newbie could do it in 2 hours with a clutch puller. An experienced clutching guy would take about 1/2 hour.

listen to turk

here is some good clutching advice - listen up when turk speaks on this subject he knows what he`s talkin about

How do you clutch your SXR....that is way to vage of a question...clutch it for what..trial, drag, radar, top speed, low end grunt or general good set up.....Turk is an awesome source for clutch information and if he gave you a set up do it and you will like it...I have been playing with my SXR for 3 seasons now and last year acheived 114.9mph on radar...the mid range will take your arms right off.....but I run pipes..different set up.

it is really not that hard i changed rivets last week for the first time it was easy best way to learn this stuff is to roll up them sleeves an get to work

Turk helped me out the first time I did it on my 96 600 and took me a while to get the hang of it. But last season when I did my 00 SXR wow this was a piece of cake to do IMO. I got my helix and rivets from CB Performance in IL, they are a vendor on here. Call Bruce up and see if he has what you need, he should.
