electric shield plug in advice

I have hooked mine up a couple of different ways over the years without having any problems. Used to use the headlight power wire at the connector near your primary clutch. Now, a yamaha tech told me to use the wire for the hand warmers inside the handlebar pad. Both worked fine.

Blue is the color, the color being blue . . . not red, not green, nor black - unless the blue has turned black from belt dust or oil.

I used to hook mine up to tail light wire and run the plug wire between the seat and gas tank then when not using can tuck it under the seat flap and it's out of the way. Now with my 4 strokes I just hook it up to the battery.

I have mine wired up the same way and it is so far the best place for me to put it as I just run the shield cord down through my coat and it's out of the way of getting snagged on anything.Once in while I forget to unplug it when I get off the sled but that's the great thing about a plug it'll come apart before any damage to the cord is done.
