I had one of my valves seperate from the cable the other day while cleaning it, and feel I have a good idea on how do get them back together, but have two more questions.
1. did I loose the circlip when this happened, and 2. While wiggeling the "stuck" valve out, I did hear the servo reel unwind, did I mess something up, or will it reset while I fire the motor up?

The servo will get back to his original position when you start the engine.
