I have heard of others bending out the reed stop. I ran across a post from Mr. Sled who mentioned it on a srx600 tuning setup: "bent out reed stop to 12.5 mm". I have a '99 600sx (760 big bore with triple hauck pipes) and was wondering:
1. How much should I bend the reed stop out?
2. How exactly do you go about doing that?
I am also going to do the reed notch too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! (This site is awesome)

Does anyone have a lead on this?

In the tech section there is instructions on how to notch the reed stoppers. Another way instead of notching is to just add a reed spacer.

I did read through that material about the notching. Pretty clever. But let's say if i did not want to notch the reed stop but only widen (or open them further) to increase the 100% opened position of the reeds allowing more charge to enter the crankcase. I wasn't sure of the best approach to "bend" them so they match....
