I have a 1999 600sx and have read the BETHEVIPER posts on setting up the suspension. That and many of the posts mention the quality of the ride, but don't mention specifically what changes will change your traction. Basically, In my old age of 35 years, I am interested in the nice ride and am going to pull out the skid and do the whole bit. But i do like to race my friends and have an interest in great traction coming out of the hole.
Can anyone let me know what changes specficially impact your traction out of the hole? I have transfer rods I am going to install too. Thanks!

make sure you are not over reving to begin with
8200 out of the hole,8500 wot.Check your belt height in the secondary and adjust accordingly.Adjust your limiters so that you don't have to much weight on the ski's also and loosen your track a little, but not to the point of ratcheting.
I run a 1.25 ripsaw on my 600,have my limiters loosened up a bit.You want weight transfer just right to.If I am on a good hardpac and pin it..I lift my ski's a little and they level right out again. You can tell if your steering is easy or pushing into the corners, then adjust the limiters either way.

When adjusting your secondary, are you shimming it accordingly? I also have 144 very worn .875 studs that I am going to replace with 1" goldiggers. What you describe with respect to your skiis sounds about perfect. How does your sled behave in a holeshot? Thanks!
