I have a 91 exciter.

It has an aftermarket exhaust the engine is .40 over and I went up to 340 jets from 320. (while I am on the subject is 320 enough? I got it from a friend who put the pipe on it and renuilt the engine but left the stock jets in it. It didn't last long).

Should I play with the clutch? I dont want to sacrifice reliability.

You want to make sure the sled,s rpm is in the powerband. Clutching usually gives you the biggest edge.
