Has anyone put a 2001 mxz skid in an SRX? Is it an improvement?

Bigtime improvment.Steel bushings, lots of grease nipples, bolts farther back in the tunnel so the centre shock does not hold all that wieght.Track will not strech and balloon when hard on the gas.Not any higher ride so it still corners well. The only downfall i found is the centre rear wheel bearing will rust to the axle makeing it a bugger to remove. And the shocks need rebuilding more often than some makes.

O i forgot it weighs alot less than the one you are pulling out as well.
How was the install?
looks to have hpg racing shocks. Don't know if those are ok ones or not. The price doesn't look bad but I don't want a huge project either.

Buy it i will help you with the swap it takes about a hour to do.If you had another set of front tunnel brackets even less.

Will it be better than the long traveled srx skid I have now? I have viper shocks/brackets on the front too.

I think it is better not as nice as 12 inch of travel but if you ride hard the peace of mind of not busting stuff is worth it.
but compared to a properly maintained tuned viper/long traveled pro-action it's about the same (only lighter)?
