97 XTC cylinder

Does anyone know the difference between the cylinder 8CR-11311 for a 97 XTC 600 and a 8CA-11311 for a 96 XT. In other words, is a 8CR and a 8CA interchangeable?

What do you mean by triple exhaust ports XTC? Both sleds are 600 twins.

yes, the XTC 600 had triple exhaust ports on each cylinder....

Plus the 96 600 has a hexagon style reed cage mount with 6 bolts. The 97 has a rectangular reed cage mount with four bolts.
