i like to know how to test and make sure that power valves and servo is working
thanks dave

you can turn your idle down below 1000 or 900 rpm and if you have the black plastic cover off of the servo motor, to reveal the pulley for the cables, you should then be able to see the motor turn and pull the valves into the fully open position. obviously the sled is running for this.
Ya mine does not move below 900 rpm do you think i need new servo motor is there a way i can test the servo moter

if you want, you can keep the plastic cover (that covers servo motor pulley) off, and start the sled. it should go to full open and then back to close. you can rev it up, w/the sled supported on a stand, and see if the motor (pulley moving) is doing anything at all. if you guys need a servo motor, i have 2 available for sale.

is it moving when you rev it up ??? if you set it at 900 and stab the throttle and let it come to a ideal it wil jump all around before resting.... if it dont move your servo is bad or you may have a wiring problem...

So it's alright when you idle it down to 900, and the servo just jumps around? That's all it does is move back and fourth, I haven't seen it settle at that rpm. Thanks.

check to see if the rpms are low when i do mine just make shure its below 900 and i do it to the piont of where it will just stay running....
Use the choke if it will not idle down on its own. below 900 rpms it will pull them wide open. If theres no movement then it bad. Or wiring as said above.
I need to rule out if it is wiring or the servo motor how do i do this?
I tried hooking up the wires with the 5 amp fuse trick and it kept poping the fuse is this electrical or is it servo motor what would cause the 5 amp fuse to pope on hook up?

Make sure you are going into the triangle connection that has a plug in it.I made a harness with two pieces of wire and a fuse holder. The red wire(10 amp fuse) in the test port gets 12v hot and the black gets the ground. Turn on the key and bingo, your ready to adjust. Use a 12volt battery from a lawn mower or something. The test port has a red and a black wire, one of the terminals in the test port is blocked off with no wire at all.
I hooked up the harness into the triangle connection and it keeps poping the 5 amp fuse so i put 12v direct to the servo motor harness and it moves so i guess servo motor is working, so i must have a electrical problem, now what should i do, i am thinking to look for a short in the wiring someware.
What you think it could be?

the servo is operated via the cdi box, so if the servo does not cycle when you either turn down the idle rpm below 900, or place sled on a jackstand, the servo should open above 6500rpm. Now there is a possibility that the wiring harness can be chaffed thru under then engine grounding out the box, but usually if the sled will run ok without backfiring its not the harness but the circuit bad in the cdi , this can be a direct result of the chaffed harness shorting out the box also.
I would say the best way to fix the sled is to: 1.) remove the harness from under the engine and repair any chaffs to harness, then place it in convolute tubing.(the harness rubs thru on 99% of all srx and vipers so its not a waste of time even if it is not rubbed thru) your saving yourself grief down the road fixing it now.
2.) if you repaired harness and servo still does not operate and you have tried to power servo thru electrical plug, then the cdi box is faulty.
