Carbides for my SRX

All, I have a clutched and severely studded (as soon as I install my new track) SRX, I want to buy some new carbides, and i have couple of questions.

I ride mostly on trails, hardpack, ice.

I am thinking of 8" minimum.

I want to know what the performance difference is between the V shaped carbides, and the flat carbides with the rounded edges?

Also does anyone have a particular brand they like?

I bought some woodies, they don't seem to cover as much of the ski as the ones I took of. Also these are the ones with the sharp V on them.
