So I picked up a 151 finger track today for $150.00 came with a couple of tunnel extensions a nd a rear cooler from MM. So I want to put the 151 on my srx which has a 144 finger track on it. My question is since I moved the rear suspension back 4". How long of a rail extension do I need for the 151 track? Also to day I bought some rail extensions at the snow show that are for 141 to 151. Are they to long?
was your suspension set back the 4 inches for the 144 or did you move it for the 151. 141 to 151 will be to long no matter what. I have a set of rail ext that would work, but I need more info first on what is being done. Maxdlx

what size is your skid 136? i am in the middle of the same mod but i only put my rear 2 inches back i have to have 5 inch rail ext and my skid is a 136...(i bought 7 inch 136-151) too long... if it is a 136 you need 3 inch rail ext for a 151 and rear moved back 4 inches... 4 inches is alot put up some pics when it done...
the math is
track diffrents divided in half = the lenth of rail ext you need
THEN
the rail extions you need - how far you moved it back = new rail ext size
like lets say its a 136 skid
136-151=15
15/2=7.5
7.5-4=3.5
3.5 would be the # but i would round down and take it up with the adjuster...

I went from a 136 to a 144. Moved the whole suspension back 4" no rail extensions.
you then need 3.5 rail extensions. i have a set that were mounted but were to short. they are western power sport extensions. I paid $75 for them in Jully make me an offer. Maxdlx

Well I just paid $40.00 for the 5.3" ones by mountain performance they are new in package. So do you wanna swap?

I don't need any, I had to get 7.5 inch ones for a customers sled. I'd take 50 plus shipping. Maxdlx

you could always just use the ones you have and move your rear skid up 2 inches....

ok heres the lowdown i hope it helps i went from a 144 to a 151 and my supp was moved back 2 inches .... i needed 5 inch extintions but however my track adjusters are moved all the way back so with your supp moved back 4 you should be good.... whats the skid lengh.... mine was a 136... if it was a 121 i have some 7 inch's that i bought that was part of the trial and error prosses .......
