Has anyone figured out a way to use the stock viper cover with handgaurds and 2" riser? I was thinking of getting a little pocket sewed in to fit it or just cutting a little slit through it so the handguards stick out and everything else is covered.

I havent done either. I had an SRX with handgaurds that I used to tow on an open trailer and what a P.I.T.A it was taking the handgaurds off and putting them back on after every trailer ride...but I could tell you that the pocket thing is a better idea. Reason being, after time, the nice slits you made will start to fray and deteriorate. Kind of like how a flag looks like after blowing around on a pole for a few years. Except it would be super accelerated on the back of a trailer doing 60-70 mph all the time. Just my thinking....

If you never trailer..then maybe the "slit" idea would not be that bad of an idea....but again, it would probably still cause the cover to deteriorate prematurely. Maybe cut the slits and have the edges of the cuts flapped ocer and and sewn....to reduce the material from fraying.

Well on the viper cover there is like spandex on the top so i don't think that would fray to bad but who knows, maybe ill try it and if it starts to fray a lot then i ll get it fixed or buy a cover for a big touring sled and just use that.

I have an 02 Viper with a 5 inch ROX riser and powermadd handguards. The stock viper cover still fits...a bit tight, but it still fits! The only difference is that there is a small opening on each side of the tunnel near the running boards.
