im setting up my alarms on my egts and just woundering what i should set the high at ... whats "burn down" temp? thanks

burn down temps are usually around 1300-1350, but don't jet your sled to a specific temp on your gauge off the bat. you need to go off of piston wash and spark plug readings for jetting. once the piston wash and plugs look good, you then run your sled and see what the wot temps are. you then remember that, and can program you warning light at that temp. now, when you're out cruising and you see your temp start going over that, you know something has changed and you can back off the throttle, and start babying it back to the trailer....saving you a couple hundred bucks. they pay for them selve in 1 motor save. each temp gauge will probably read different...like compression testers. also, placement of the probes will play a roll in temp readings.

he means nitrous N20.
The N2O by its self yes and no....with too much fuel yes due to post combustion in the headers. Leaning out due to not enough fuel and or too much N20 will increase the EGT temp as well.
Ive used N2o on multiple projects but not on any sleds.

nitrous, nos, n2o, boss noss ... im using the boss noss wet kit and it should be set up for good mixrute it runs through a smart box before it hits the motor...
