I think you can go 1.5 or even 1.75 if you remove your tunnel, and heat exchanger protectors. I am sure someone on here will know for sure though.
1.75 with the protectors out. No idea with them in.

i used to run a 1.5" camoplast - stock drivers and protectors out. 1.75" would be tight - running 2" now with 8t extros. About 1/2" clearance

just depends on the track you use, if you want to run a 1.25 lug with studs, I would leave the protectors in, you just need the track to have notched windows where clips are. Track tension is important with this swap and must be kept in check.
if you go no studs, you can run all the way up to 1.75" lug with stock 9 tooth drivers, I have had both a 1.5" lug srx longtrack and a 1.75" lug longtrack, both worked great, no problems. You do need to remove both front and tunnel protectors for the big lug tracks I listed, plus rubber isnt going to eat up the tunnel so you dont need them....

You dont have to, but you'll have to let the track rub on the protectors until it no longer rubs...otherwise, you'll have to remove the protectors...or else run an 8tooth driver and you should be good
