I am looking for a new stator to replace my bad one on a 95 vmax 500le.
I found this on ebay but two of the coils look like a different color....is that
normal?

I honestly don't know for sure but my knee jerk answer is no I would expect all the windings to be the same if for nothing other than production, process and costs. Stators are wound on automatic machines and I don't know of any reason why the wire insulation or coating would change between poles. It also looks like the windings are missing on one of the poles.

Yes , they have some different colored coils. My 97 700 has three that are different.
Some of the coils/windings are for lighting, heated grips and engine management. I guess that why they are different.

I believe the Empty coil is normal as well i believe my dad 600 had one that was empty when we swapped that out.
