Hi guys, In the past I have trailered my sled on a open trailer, I now have a covered trailer. Now I have a salty residue in the engin bay that I can not get clean. I have cleaned it and it looks good but it just seems to come back. Is there anything that I can spray or do to get this thing clean?

TTT I have the same issue. WD40 seems to kill it..then it comes back.

we use a vinegar and water mix (i know it sounds funny) to get the salt of the boats the problem is it's probably not normal salt do they spray the roads where you live before a storm?

yeah they do salt the heck out of are roads here in WI. What do you do with the vinegar mix? Do you spray it on and leave it, or wipe it off right after you spray it on. I know back in the day there was this stuff called "navel jelly" and that took rust off of stuff but I dont know if that will work? Yeah I have used WD40 and it looks good for a while but it comes back. Ive tried carb cleaner and it just come back. I know there has to be something that will work, I will try the vinger thing. What kind of vinger mix should I use? How much water to vinger?

Spray Westly's white wall cleaner on dry engine...let sit for 5 min. rinse and repeat. Then spray a light coating of armour-all on it. :bling:

simple green and a scrub brush?

i haven't tried it yet, but i put some of the "spray on and let it drip dry" tire cleaner on my truck tires. i noticed the next day that the concrete where it had dripped had actually been cleaned. now every time it rains i can see the 4 spots on the driveway where it dripped. i am thinking about trying some of that stuff next time for the motor.

Do you think it cleaned it or maybe it stained it??
