Putting new rings in the Viper

hey man reverse should be Ok if you run a aftermkt can(not 100% on this). I swapped out the viper chaincase cover for the srx cover. So the stock srx can would fit. You will also need to get your hands on a 01 srx cdi, and some 01 srx heads or aft for better cooling.

As for making you a flange I dont know if I have the time at the moment.

OK-- thanks for all the input guys... I'm gonna chew on it for a bit and decide if I can make it happen or not. Concept if you think you may have time to make me one let me know. I saw the pics of it and looked like a nice piece. All the other parts I can probably scrape together from Mopar1 and others on here.

CC, we got to hook up this year and run these guys together. I'm trying to save enough for 2 ont pass and a belle province pass to boot. Anyway chance of you doing a radar run in the bay this year? If not, I've got the extra pass and could meet you somewhere.

FYI - unless I can find another 3mpg out my sled the pipes are coming off in later winter. Got some touring to do and i can't afford what the mileage i'm getting.

You wouldn't happen to have template or drawing with dimensions of it would you? Thanks

BTV-- Cleaned out my PM's

Il measure it up tommorrow night. You coul dalso take and easyier route and cut the flange off of your viper header. Then cut the flange off the srx ones. add a pipe from the viper flange to the inside of the srx pieces and weld it.

hope srxbender will let uss know about that radar run on constance bay....i would love to meet all of u too :-)))

Yeah, Bender will keep us up to date on everything. He's good that way.

Not to steal the thread or anything but my viper has 6700 on it. Im going to do the top end, but i was wondering if it would be a good time to go through the bottom? Ive never been in the bottom end before but ive done 3 other top ends. Is it really all that hard or just a pain in the arse? If its not a worry right now, at how many miles should it be looked at?
Thanks guys!
Chris

hey man I measured 5.5" from the cycl to the center of the end of the dohnut. So you would need three 2.5" pipes weld the pipes to the stock viper flange and slip the srx headers over the pipes adjust to where your pipes fit best and tach in place keeping the correct distance.

OK- I gotcha. I'll have to see what everything looks like when I get all the parts together. I was looking at your pictures of your adapter and it looks like it's only about an inch thick or so from one edge of the flange to the other edge? So what you're saying is the 2-1/2" pipes are for sliding adjustment, and they would have to fit inside the srx flanges? Sounds like that would be worth a try. Thanks- i appreciate the help

Oh yeah-- did you get your hood to fit OK?
