Need some input on my sx-r. Thought I had it running good before I put it away last year. Pulled it out the other day and it won't hardly run at all? I half to keep the choke half open to keep it running, shut it off it stalls. Put fresh gas in it and new plugs, doesn't help. Thinkin my jetting is off still? Looking for input guys. Thanks
My jetting is 145,143.8,143.8
Clip position#3
Fuel screws1.5
Air jets1
Reed spacers and bored silencer

Did that first, spotless. Thats what i can't figure out. They sat dry all summer. Sled was up on stand all summer in garage.

I picked up a can of 93 at shell, wonder if I got shit gas? Willing to bet not many people buying 93 right now. Wonder if I just screwed myself?

I'm guessing you did, but did you actually take the pilots jets out and blow/look through them? Just being thorough. I've seen very clean looking carbs have just enough 'goo' in the pilot jet to cause this issue is all. You could have sucked up some fresh 'goo' from the tank? :dunno:

10-4 did all that? I think I'm gonna drain the tank and flush it out. Thats a good call with picking up goo out of the tank. Bad gas or not could have maybe knocked some gunk around putting in new gas and moving the sled out and around. Rather deal with this now rather than on the trail. Thanks for the input.

snocrosser, is that your modded sx-r in your avatar? if so, that jetting seems too lean to me, w/those pipes, etc.

Thats a pic is of his old Speedwerx/Experted Viper. Note the PV cables are a give away.

And do I ever miss that sled, selling that was the biggest mistake ever. Wish I knew where it went? Sold it to Extreme powersports in Gaylord.
