Dave,
As others have said, just follow the instructions from the Tech Pages. It is pretty simple.
Here are some shots of what mine looked like before and after.
I used carb cleaner, a paint/sticker scraper w/ a razor blade in it, and scotch bright pads. Cleaned them right up!

Be careful you dont drop the little pins that locate the power valve housing on the cylinder, sometimes they fall out.

No real mod to avoid puull throughs, sometimes the cable even breaks (barrel end gets stuck in valve end). Just make sure to keep the p-valves clean (every 800 miles or so), keep them adjusted properly, and use a good injector oil. I hear Amsoil Interceptor is the way to go to keep the valves looking nice and clean.

I heard this as well... that's what I'll be running this season. Need to get some, snow is on its way (I hope!).

one of my 4 bolts on my last power valve today was seized and i acidently striped the head of the bolt. Now cant get it off. I am going to tack weld a small bolt onto it later the week and try to remove it again.

NO don't do that, my buddy had the same problem, trust me on this one, get a hack saw, and saw into the head of the bolt, cut it nice and deep, but don't over do it, get a big flat head screw driver in there with a vice grip on the screw driver shaft, have a buddy push real hard on the screw driver and then turn the screw driver with the vise grips, came out real easy, if you dont wanna reuse the bolt get another one, or just reuse it, it should be fine.

Here's my mess of a powervalve coming out. I had never cleaned them before, and I doubt it had ever been done with the last owner. 3900kms on the sled.
I was using Amsoil HP injector oil at first, but have since switched to Interceptor. Hopefully they never get this bad, and I'll probably clean every year from now on.
I was really careful with the knife not to cut the coating.
