Coolest sounding sleds you've heard?

Piped V4's are awesome.

SXR7 with a MBRP can is hands down the coolest single piper.

SXR with PI pipes is the best multi pipe tripple...

You msut mean Vmax 4, becasue outside of the AAEN V4 motors, I don't veer think there has been one yet in a sled.

Although I am a sucker for a piped v 4 4 stroke engine as well. esp with gear driven cams. Gotta love the whirring noises.

QUAD Piped VMAX 4!!

Of course I might be a bit prejudiced....

But, they really do have a very unique & pretty much "one of a kind" sound!!

I nice piped & tuned triple is very cool too...but...most brand triples can sound similar where as the Vmax 4 is hard to mistake which brand it is!!!

It is always fun in my area when I crack the throttle a bit in our snow park-loading area just playing around & guys with much newer stuff who are not aware of what motor this sled has come wandering over to "take a look & ask questions", like what the hell is that thing?? LOL!!

Kinda fun when they dont know that there were 4 cylinder Yammies built "back then". Kinda cool having them be impressed with a 15 year old sled!! Not many of these running around my area...fact is I dont know of another Vmax 4 within 100-150 miles of me!!

I have a set of the original aluminum bender V-Max-4 canisters that I rebuilt and modified and repacked with Aaens silencer material, waaaay cool! There is nothing that sounds more like an indy car than a V-Max-4 shrieking away at full battle cry! Yamaha triples are next, but that V-Max-4 shriek!!!!! That's why I've never parted with my trusty old V-Max-4 and never will. Darth Vader on snow. G.

I was gonna mention the Vmax 4's with the twin stinger set up. :2strokes: How much different does an aluminum can sound vs. a conventional steel one?

i like a viper single on a mbrp trail can. attracted a lot of heads to my brothers sled when it would roar to life. funny thing is they where all doo guys.

Not really any difference between the steel and aluminum, I have both. The aluminum ones were garbage the way they were designed, that's why they started making them out of steel. These were given to me because they were all broken up. So I took them apart and with a little redesign and some time with the tig torch, they work just fine. Awesome sound, unfortunately I don't have any sound bytes to share here at this time. See what happens if it ever snows! G.

the best sled i heard was at a radar run i went to i was a vmax 4 800index crank and a turbo every time i think of it the hair stand up on my neck it just sherked like tearing a shirt awsome
