I'm thinking about buying a different SRX, its either a 00 or a 01. The problem is if I buy it I will have to sell mine. The one I own is a 98 SRX 600 and this is what I've done to it-Long Traveled the Rear- Put drop down brackets on the front with Ohlins- Changed the Belly Plastics from black to Blue- Put a white skid plate on- Put a 1 1/4 Ripsaw on- Changed the Hood to a 00- Changed the gauge pod, rear bumper cover, handle bar pad and shroud to Blue- Put a new CDI in it. I've done all of this so it will look like a 00 just with a single bulb headlight. So I have the looks of what I want but should I sell it to move up to a 700? I usually ride tight whooped out trails with my wife and her 00 SXR 600. What your thought?

Its your call man, if the 700 seems like a good buy for the price then i'd take it... pretty big difference between the two sleds speed/power wise.
But if you can't get what you want for the 600 then i wouldn't bother selling it if the mods don't add to the price.
Main question is... are you happy with what you have? you have a long travel set up right now, and you are going to loose that with a srx, unless previous owner did a long travel conversion also...

The new sled isn't long traveled but it has the duel bulb headlight. As for selling my sled I hope I could get $1500 out of it, does that sound like I'm dreaming to ask for $1500?

no, i don't think so. if its in really good shape and with the mods you have listed...$1500 doesn't sound too outta the picture.

sounds like you j ust want to go bigger...your 600 sounds like its well setup. almost identical to the 700 without the motor.

yeah i just sold my sxr 700 and got a mintt 2002 srx 700 for 2300$

just give the wife the 600srx and you drive the 700. more power for her and more power for you.

yeah i will post some pics soon maybe tommrrow i just gotta figure out how to get the pics on here.. and yeah jonny thing this isss mintt the pipes are still black and everything is spotless. a older mailman guy owned it he didnt ride it much.. its got a bender can on it and 192 studs thats about it...

How many miles on the 02 srx pat? i got a 2001 in real good condition, all stock except for coated pipes... no scratches anywhere... love the 01's.
