how to mod power valves

Hey Dave here is how i do mine , I only did 2 but they both worked , I made a jig to hold he power valve upright , and with a press drill i drill the valve to fit the tap , then thread the bolt in with lock tight , cut the bolt fush and with a hack saw slot the bolt ,. some fellas assume that the weight is a factor but I have not seen that yet ??? I promise you,, you will never pull through again the cable will break first ,

about the way he fixe the power valve ...it works pretty good... can't remember if its a 1/4 or 5/16 bolts ...

you use a 5/16 bolt, machine off the old end of valve, drill and tap end, insert bolt with red loktite, then machine hex bolt head to round, drill hole for cable slot and open slot with hacksaw blade. Its very simple and will prevent future pull thru's. Also you need to leave a little bit of slack in the powervalve cable adjustment like the spec yamaha uses, adjusting them tight flush by hand leads to the cable being pulled taunt every time and will ruin the cables/valve ends.
