I happened across a Venture 136" skid for cheap, what do I have to do for heat exchangers to make this work. I have an 97 Vmax XTC.

pull your exchanger, bumper , bumper conduit ,plastics, have a sheet metal place bend a extension or buy one from mountain performance . you can either keep your 121 running board exchangers and buy or fab hose extensions , it might be wise to get the 136 running board exchangers for extra cooling to turn the bigger track and use your current hoses ? mount your exchanger , might want to get a srx one (bigger capacity) tune your skid to ski pressure and away yo go !!!!!!!!!!
might want to gear down a tooth on the bottom also/

I really like the rear skid in the 97 venture we have. It is perfect for 2 up use, up to around 50mph even on pretty rough trails. With 1 person on it it seems to be pretty decent as well, even my 240 lb self while doing a beat run on it. If you need pics of how the items (hx and such) mount on the venture, let me know.
It should be a pretty easy swap, and it will help bridge the gaps on the trials better.

Going to a taller lugged track will make a big difference. In 97 they ran much lower lug height than other brands.
But If I had the opportunity to long track a 121" sled, I would for the better ride quality.

yeah i'm running a 1.25'' Kimpex Agressor, it was night and day difference. But after getting some seat time on an Artic cat 128" and a SXR 136'' I felt what i've been missing. Way smoother and feels 10x better pounding drifts and going backcountry.
