98 Msrx

i been noticing that all the srx's that ive seen have blue heads on them. my 98 MSRX 700 has black heads. does anyone know the difference?im not sure if there is one or not.also does the Holtzman dual range compensator work, and is it reliable and easy to use? thanx.

my heads are blue,do you have head pictures,holtzman tempaflow and attacc work great i dont know what a dual range comp is it may be older

My sxr head use to be red until it was overheated.....now its black.

its a holtzman variflow dual range compensator. here is the pic of the head

Hmmm.....heres what i think.

1)someone repainted them
2)viper heads

no sighns of overhaeting. ive done it a few times, doesnt look that way. looks like a good paint job or viper heads like you said. if they are viper heads, what if anything is diferent in performance? will it kill it or be the same a srx heads.im not sure.

They are not Viper heads. Viper uses a 1 piece head.
