From what I have been told the motor will drop right in. Mounts are the same. 570 exhaust should fit. 94 is the best year to use because of ignition. Use the 94 carbs. They will be tight to fit in because the reed cages put them closer to the airbox. PM "800" he has done it.
B.T.W. in 1994 I still had my 88 Exciter which had a Richards Pro pipe with jetting and clutching, torque arm, cold air intake, hyper hyfax with a frt. bend wheel kit and 96 studs. The Exciter and my 1994 600 were as close as any two sleds can be and the 600 was stock with the exception of jetting and 96 studs !

Yeah that guy did it,if we are talking about teh same guy,he is ikevmax4 ore sumthing like that on youtube.he has the bottom of the crankcase from the original exciter,and upper crankcase and jugs from a max 600.
So if the engine brackets/mounts wont fit,the upper crankcase will.Im not saying anything fore sure,butr you should ask that guy
