Secondary Sheave On Viper Er

I have noticed that my secondary sheave slides in and out on the secondary shaft about 1/8". is this normal? looks like i may need more washers before the seat spring set. I dono any advice? the noise it makes is kind loud and anyoing sliding in and out. It don't seem right to me.

Yamaha secondary clutches are designed to "float". What you describe sounds to be normal. I don't know about the clunking noise though? Does it clunk you are riding it or just when the belt is not installed?
